So, you're thinking...
...WTF is this good for? Well, not much to be honest :PSearch The Three is just a small project i came up with other day while i was in the bathroom taking piss and thinking about who actually uses Yahoo or Windows Live search engines? — before i continue i'd just like to point out i'm not throwing shit over any search engine, i'm just used to google, always used it, and probably always will for better or worse :P — From my Googlified point of view i couldn't really understand why anyone would use another engine. But then i started thinking that what if Yahoo would give me more relevant results on a specific query, or what if Windows Live did? And which engine really does give the most relevant results?
And thats when it hit me, what if i had a page with three columns results from all three engines?
That was now two days ago, and i've quickly put together this little project, for the reason stated above, and cause all search engines just use such a damn ugly layout :P
Search The Three tracks clicks on each search engine's results which should give a rough and most likely dealy unreliable statistics on which engine on average generates the most relevant results. And aside from that, it just looks a lot nicer, unless...
...you're using Internet Explorer, which at this point, you can expect nothing to look right cause i haven't had the time to test this crazy layout with transparent PNG images and CSS properties known to not work in IE. I'll test it and fix a few things in the next few days since i'm a mac user, IE on a pc isn't exactly a mere click away :P
Eitherway, if you're unfortunate enough to be using Internet Explorer, just get Firefox ;)
Bottom line is simply that Search The Three is a small, useless project created just for the hell of it (and to give my soon to be released PHP framework a real world test :P)
Have Fun, and die soon... errrr....not (ooops, don't think to loud, damnit brain!)
